Grants and Grit
Grants and Grit is a Black woman-owned practice igniting power for visionary leaders, artists, activists, and community organizations. We combine grant literacy, cultural clarity, and healing practices to protect what we build, honor our brilliance, and create systems worthy of our people.
Our approach
At Grants and Grit, we believe building sustainable organizations is about more than writing proposals or managing budgets. It is about honoring the humanity of the people doing the work. It is about sustaining the wholeness of those who carry the work.
We help Black women and values-aligned leaders reclaim time, voice, and clarity by pairing technical expertise with cultural fluency and healing-informed practices. Yes, we help you get grants, but we also help you build systems that honor your family, your wellness, and your legacy.
Our approach is rooted in listening first, co-creating solutions, and investing deeply in the people we work with. We offer pro bono support where needed, redistribute resources through practices like a sou sou, and celebrate our teams with intentional care. This is not charity. This is alignment.
We are not trying to fit communities into broken systems. We are helping create new ones, rooted in truth, wellness, and the brilliance we already carry.
Our Values & Beliefs
At Grants and Grit, we do not just take on projects. We build partnerships rooted in purpose, justice, and shared commitment.
We work with visionaries who know that fundraising is not just about dollars. It is about power, sustainability, and dignity. That is why we hold clear boundaries and high standards, not just for ourselves, but for those we serve.
Here’s what we believe:
No urgency without clarity or compensation. We do not reward chaos culture. We plan, build, and move with intention.
No undervaluing emotional labor. Our expertise is earned, our time is sacred, and our lived experience matters.
No partnerships without purpose. We align with leaders who are rooted in their values and clear on their mission.
We make it make sense with brilliance, boundaries, and justice. Because when we work in alignment, our communities thrive, our leaders are sustained, and everybody wins.
